To become an Apprentice you need to be employed in a relevant job role and be given the opportunity to learn new skills which relate to your job and industry. Your employer will also need to support you with your Apprenticeship training for the duration of the Apprenticeship course.
If you already have an employer for your apprenticeship and you would like to find out more about Apprenticeships, you will need to contact our Apprenticeships team. We will need the contact details of your employer who will be employing you while on the Apprenticeship. You can get in touch with us on 01603 773365 or email apprenticeships@ccn.ac.uk
You first need to find the ideal Apprenticeship for you by searching
the latest apprenticeship vacancies on our website. Once you’ve found the Apprenticeship you like, you need to apply directly to the employer. Details on how to do this will be included on the Apprenticeship vacancy listing.
Speak with local employers to see if they would consider taking you on for an Apprenticeship – this could be your previous or current employer, a family business, or a local company you’re keen to work for. Take your CV/cover letter and ask the company if they offer Apprenticeships. Apply on the National Apprenticeship website and you can search for positions locally or across the country. You will need to set up an account and submit an application to apply for an Apprenticeship position. Go to: www.findapprenticeship.service.gov.uk
If you are offered a position or the employer would like to know more about Apprenticeships contact us on 01603 773365 and we can help. We also offer free apprenticeship advice appointments which will last around 20 minutes.
