Yes. Aircraft Maintenance Engineering students have the opportunity to work on a fully functional Boeing 737 at the International Aviation Academy Norwich. This provides an opportunity to apply engineering and maintenance knowledge in an authentic aviation environment.

The FdSc Aircraft Maintenance Engineering course is designed to prepare students for technical, supervisory and management roles within the aviation industry. Graduates can progress towards careers in aircraft maintenance, aviation engineering and related technical roles, depending on their qualifications, experience and professional progression.

The Foundation year can be suitable for students who do not meet the standard entry requirements for the two-year FdSc or who would benefit from additional preparation before starting higher-level aircraft maintenance engineering study. The Foundation year covers engineering fundamentals and develops the analytical and problem-solving skills needed for further study.

Students at the International Aviation Academy Norwich have access to specialist aviation facilities including engineering workshops, modern classrooms and the Aviation Emulation Zone®. The academy also features a fully operational Boeing 737, providing an unusual opportunity to gain practical experience working on a real aircraft.

The course is delivered in partnership with KLM UK Engineering and awarded by the University of East Anglia.
